By Ben Fowler. A seat is just a place to sit. A chair is something very different. The ritual of repose.
We have a love of chairs that occasionally verges on an unhealthy obsession. There is, of course, a Sussex tradition of wooden chairs. Our friend and collaborator Ben has distilled this lore and legacy along with a subtle essence of Mid Century Danish form into a thoroughly timeless piece which is as quietly contemporary as it is charmingly heritage.
Within the pale simplicity is exquisite and meticulous detail. Designed around the elegant molded back and arm. A graceful core which yields comfort, strength and aesthetic flow.
Not by Inglis Hall but very Inglis Hall. Confident modernism says hello to gentle craft legacy. Is why we love this chair. Is why we love a single chair in contented solitude and why we really love half a dozen of them ready for dinner at an imposing table.
Inglis Hall products are handmade to a very high quality, mostly to order, in our Sussex workshops or by our UK partners. This means that some items can take up to 12 weeks to produce and arrive with you. We always endeavour to deliver more quickly whenever we can, and some smaller items and products that are held in stock will arrive much faster.
