The Art of Handmade British Cabinetry

WE PUT THE CRAFT INTO CONTEMPORARY KITCHENS

Drawn from decades of fine cabinet making and traditional timber framing, we bring an authentic level of craft to modern British cabinetry. Designed and made in Lewes, East Sussex. If it carries our name, it carries our standards. We are so confident in the enduring quality of our cupboards, we offer a lifetime guarantee - not as a gimmick, but as a simple reassurance of their longevity.

It has become fashionable to describe a company as makers. There are makers and, well, there are makers. We take the term seriously. It is not about assembling components made elsewhere or putting our name on another’s work. It is an honest and absolute dedication to the act of making.

    TIMELESS MATERIALS, CRAFTED TO LAST

Many come to us for our raw and blackened band-sawn oak. Each board is carefully chosen, expertly milled, and beautifully finished. No one does it quite like Inglis Hall.

Yet the material palette extends well beyond oak. There’s rich walnut and characterful Douglas fir. A breadth of sustainably sourced timbers and finishes, used alongside distinctive, versatile surfaces.

Take Richlite. Remarkably durable and made from something wholly unexpected - recycled paper. Tactile, with an almost leather-like feel and available in a range of sumptuous colours. Fenix offers even more colour possibilities. Ultra matt, soft to the touch, anti-fingerprint, scratch resistant - the list goes on. A truly luxurious low-maintenance solution.

Each material is selected for strength, endurance and the ability to age gracefully. Every choice, right down to the oak veneered birch ply carcasses, intentional. Proven by years of careful scrutiny. Quality over quantity, every time.

    AN IDEA OF KITCHEN COSTS

We believe in being transparent about costs. It’s far more helpful to understand the likely investment for a complete project rather than a cabinetry-only “starting from” figure. As a guide, our kitchens typically start at around £45,000, which includes cabinetry, worktops, appliances, and installation.

Every home and brief is unique. If you have plans to share, we’d be very happy to provide a quick, personalised estimate.

    BESPOKE JOINERY AND ARCHITECTURAL INTERIORS

Our work extends beyond the kitchen. We apply the same principles of thoughtful design and fine cabinet making to other rooms in your home. From wardrobes and drinks cabinets to boot rooms and wall cladding, every detail is carefully considered. Experienced makers draw on years of dedicated craft, shaping each project with an exceptional level of skill and care.

Each piece is made to fit your space, your style, and your life. From subtle architectural details to statement installations, this is joinery that is thoughtfully designed, expertly executed, and uniquely yours.

"When it came to the kitchen, I looked for something simple, useful, and beautifully made. Inglis Hall brought a thoughtful approach and a deep understanding of materials and craft. It’s been a rewarding and genuinely collaborative process."
