OFFHAM HOUSE

OFFHAM HOUSE

No client is typical and every project is different. Some, however, are more different than others!

An ancestral, large and historically significant Georgian house. Set within vast grounds so ravishingly beautiful that they are regularly opened to a beguiled public.

A precise definition of rural grace and sophisticated elegance.

The owners, the charmingly and intriguingly named Pontus and Miranda Carminger, counter the notion of tradition and formality by living a wonderfully irreverent, idiosynchratic, instinctively stylish and inspiring family life in this gorgeous setting.

The skill they have honed in their three hotels informs their home.

Drama, easy comfort and unashamed joy make everything about Offham House extraordinary.

The kitchen is the emotional heart of the home.

Almost surreal proportions and a palette of colour created in collaboration with Simon March / Colour Makes People Happy.

Smart Tony. Beige By Any Other Name. That Guy Will Never Make it Wearing Those Shoes. Prophetic Limb.

A poetic composition of colours that reads as Dadaist script. Anything less would seem, well, less for a kitchen that rarely entertains less than ten characters.

This, however, is also a kitchen that needs to function and deliver to the highest standards. A busy, creative family needs to eat and live well. Unlacquered brass, honed marble and slate, concrete and quartz are where the kitchen gets serious.

This means the family, and whoever happens to be passing through, eat, and live, very well.

And the duck.

You don’t have a pet duck?

Should you ever enjoy the privilege of dinner at Offham it will all make perfect, delightful sense.
